TDX: First time tips for a terrific time!

TrailblazerDX is almost upon us! Next week in sunny San Francisco, thousands of us will descend on Moscone West and the surrounding areas to soak up all that Salesforce’s flagship conference for those building on the platform has to offer.

As a first time attendee, or a new member of this awesome ecosystem, coming along can seem daunting. So, here are a few top tips to get the most out of your experience (and maybe a reminder or two for the old hands!).

Plan your sessions — and experiment

Make sure you plan your day to hit the sessions you want to attend using the TDX Agenda Builder. There’s a packed schedule and content to suit everyone’s preferences. TrailblazerDX, whilst a huge amount of fun, is primarily a learning experience. Make the most of it by attending interactive sessions to gain more familiarity with the core products you work with. Get out of your comfort zone by attending a session for a new Salesforce offering like Genie or DevOps Center, or an area you’re not as familiar with. There’s an incredible amount of knowledge on offer from all the speakers, so be sure to make the most of it!

Be supported by the community

Ask anyone; one of the best — and most important — parts about the Salesforce ecosystem is the sense of belonging and community. Ultimately, events like TDX wouldn’t be able to happen without a huge level of engagement and passionate people sharing their knowledge, putting their peers before themselves to give back.

At TDX there’s a whole bunch of ways you can meet more of the community, and maybe allay some fears or anxiety you have about attending. Try popping by to one of these events:

Have fun!

As previously stated, TDX is a LOT of fun! There are plenty of meetups that you can be involved with: Bobablazers for those who like boba tea, sticker swaps to get your Salesforce sticker collection started, and a mental health user group coloring session to name but a few. Of course, there are also afterparties galore to let your hair down!
